Easy Mini Apple Strudels

What a wonderful aroma fills the air when cooking apples and cinnamon! Who doesn’t love apples, cinnamon, and pastry this time of year? This recipe is so simple and easy your family and friends will think you spent all day baking – when actually it takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish. It can be easily doubled or tripled if need to. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 (17.5 ounce) tube Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese icing
1 peeled and chopped Granny Smith apple
½ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup packed brown sugar
½ tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

In a small bowl add chopped apples, chopped walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; mix well.

Open cinnamon roll tube and separate rolls. With your rolling pin, roll out each cinnamon roll to twice its size. Take one cinnamon roll; add a handful of the apple mixture to the center. Pull up two sides bring together and pinch to seal roll.

Repeat same process for each additional roll.

Place rolls on a parchment lined baking pan. Bake at 350* for 15 to 18 minutes.

Top each hot roll with cream cheese icing that was provided with the rolls. Yield: 5 apple strudels
