Spicy Chicken Chili

This recipe is a very fast and easy meal to prepare.  I love the canned chicken breasts you can buy these days in grocery stores. It surely helps to make a quick meal during the week when you may be running low on time. Add some tortilla chips to serve on the side and Voila! Dinner is ready.


1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 ½ tsp garlic powder
1 (12.5 ounce) can Chunk Chicken Breasts
1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, broke apart
1 packet Sodium Free granulated chicken bouillon
1 (16 ounce) jar medium taco salsa
½ tsp. Texas Pete hot sauce
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
Cheese for serving


In a medium size stock pot sauté bell peppers and onions till tender. Add remaining ingredients to pot and stir well. Bring to a boil, stir and reduce to simmer. Simmer 30 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
